What is an EoR & how does it differ from a PEO?

An Employer of Record is an organisation that will employ your employee on your behalf. They are the legal employer, looking after all employer-related responsibilities such as payroll, benefits, taxes etc. An Employer of Record can employ people where you don’t have a legal entity.

A Professional Employment Organisation (PEO) acts as a co-employer, and whilst they will provide substantial HR services for you, you will remain the legal employer and be accountable for all legal issues. You will need a legal entity to use a PEO company.
